Fascia

Fascia (b. 1948, Summit, NJ) is a primarily a self taught artist and after working in many mediums (acrylics, pencil, textiles and spun cotton), she has found that micron pens and graphite, with some watercolor, are her landing places.

As a mature woman making bold statements with pen and ink is her legacy as are the gnarled and twisted trunks and branches she creates. As a former professional dancer and movement therapist working with deaf children and different populations, Fascia has developed a unique way of observing humans and nature.

Fascia’s artwork was featured in ‘Wild & Wicked,’ on view October 10-November 1, 2026.

“I’m debuting “The Copper Beeches of Manchester, NH”. I located four-two of which live on the grounds of the Manchester city library. I spent many hours studying each one-their intricacies and astounding formations. Each tree has its own story which I have included with each print. I also chose works which reflect haunting and harvesting and the ever changing yet permanence of nature.”

Fascia’s artwork was featured in ‘Hi Neighbor!‘ on view August 8-30, 2026.

“I created this old tree who has much character. I was influenced by a carrot I found who had another one attached.”

Fascia’s artwork was featured in ‘All Together Now,’ on view February 11-26, 2023.

““Amanita Muscaria” is the iconic red and white mushroom which is beautiful and deadly. She holds both within her mystifying self.

Movement Within: Mushrooms lay at her feet and climbed her undulating being.”
