Liane Tyrrel

Liane Tyrrel (b. 1967, Henniker, NH) is a painter and poet. She also works in various areas of craft including textile, natural dye work, paper mache, clay, and found material. Her poetry has been published in Image Magazine, Poetry Northwest and Four Way Review among other literary journals. She attended an artist residency at Vermont Studio Center in 2023.

Liane’s artwork was featured in ‘Hi Neighbor!‘ on view August 8-30, 2026.

“I love that paper mache uses everyday and discarded materials. These pieces were painted with leftover limewash from a home project as well as various paints and inks from my studio. I particularly enjoy the lightweight heft and texture and the association with the body.”
