Nilou Moochhala

Nilou Moochhala (b. 19972), originally from Mumbai, investigates issues of cross-cultural change and transformation by juxtaposing found objects, memorabilia, and imagery to create social and political narratives. She has exhibited across galleries such as Fountain St (SoWa/Boston), BWAC (Brooklyn), & RICPA (Providence), among others; in contrast, her public art projects have involved street typography, wheat-pastes, and park installations in city spaces. She has been awarded MCC & NEFA grants, and residencies at Vermont Studio Center & Castle Hill Arts. Her work has appeared in The Boston Globe, WBUR, PBS, & Artscope, among others.
