“Using found objects and mixed media I create miniature interior environments. I hope these scenes ask the viewer to reflect on what “home” means to them.”

“For the past 20 years, I have been exploring themes revolving around femininity, motherhood, “home” and the expectations put on us as women. My work has always included mixed media and the imagery of home, and usually a vintage aeshetic- as a nod to the 50’s housewife cliché. I do not intend to judge these stereotypes, rather to bring attention to them and ask people to consider them. Most recently, I have been using the medium of miniature assemblages to explore these themes. I hope you enjoy them visually and think, at least briefly, about the story behind these little scenes.”
